hipster mushrooms

found these neon mushrooms looking pretty electro for the middle of the woods. all the other plants were wearing standard bark and leaf attire. started wondering if these mushrooms just didn't realize that it wasn't 2007 anymore. started wondering if these little mushrooms knew that they were outnumbered and that their electro party wouldn't last forever. but then i remembered. they're just the first to arrive to the big neon fest called autumn.

Sunny Day

psychedelic demos. it seems like the word psychedelic has been taken over by bands (i'm not going to name names) who aren't really psychedelic. unless, maybe the word means something else now? not what it did in the late 60s?

check out these two demos we made for fun. are they psychedelic? what does that word mean? lots of reverb? not singing about lovey, dovey stuff? so many questions.

what am i lookin for?

has the vacuum sucked itself up?

musique concrete

we made collages of music for fun. they're kinda like mash-ups but with classical music and noise.

Classical TV and Hiss

Classical Noise

they kinda sound like what you'd hear along with a video clip of famous movie scenes from all different eras shown one after another and sorta fast. except for the noise. well maybe if you happened to be flipping through tv channels and for some reason you switch every 3 seconds and every channel is a famous scene of a famous movie. that probably wouldn't happen though.

ps, we're officially out of the desert. we've got new songs recorded and everything!

Sad Church

here's a song that sounds like a church that's sad. maybe like sometimes when little kids draw houses and the windows look like eyes and the door looks like a mouth. maybe that kind of church. and it's singing this song.

sad church

ps, and there's a tree with green squiggly circles for leaves.

Joshua Tree National Park

hey. we went to joshua tree national park yesterday. it's a crazy place. sometimes it looks like thunder mountain. sometimes it looks like the moon. joshua trees look like something out of a dr. seuss book. and they could also look like the drummer, animal, in the muppets. anyway, it's a cool place. here's a pic or two. check out the other ones at our flickr page.

in other news, we're almost done recording! still lots more to do after that though.
